Fuji X100 for High Quality Images While Cycling, Hiking, etc
I’m high in the White Mountains of California, acclimating for the Everest Challenge 2-Day Stage Race, out of Bishop, CA. If you happen to pass through Bishop, be sure to stop in at the Mountain Light Gallery, of Galen Rowell fame.
I’m really enjoying the Fuji X100 as a camera that provides very high image quality in a small package, and one that I can comfortably carry while cycling (I use a shortened neck strap), and I can also stow in a jersey pocket. To date, I had always been frustrated with small cameras whose image quality was a big let-down. The Fuji X100 changes all that, making it possible to shoot high quality images at high ISO, particularly at dusk. See my review of the Fuji X100 in DAP.
I’m planning on expanding my coverage of the Fuji X100, because it’s a camera that solves some real challenges for me— and such problem-solving cameras come along only once a year at best.
I shot this image while cycling, using the Lupine Betty II LED bike light (or headlamp) to illuminate the foreground.
