Nikon D800E Coming

I don’t yet have a Nikon D800E of my own, but a reader has generously offered to bring his D800E for me to shoot this Monday/Tuesday. We’ll be shooting together in various places and by Wednesday, I should have a store of material to draw on for the next few days, showing off the D800E behavior, especially in terms of sharpness and moiré with the best lenses.

This head start will prep the way for additional coverage, particularly comparing the D800 to the D800E head-to-head. Even shooting the D800E alone will be revealing; I’ve used so many cameras that I am well “calibrated” on differences, so I look forward to this double-groundbreaking DSLR (36MP and no anti-aliasing filter).
