Zeiss 25mm f/2 Distagon in Harsh Daylight (Bristlecones)

Writing this at 11,600' elevation high in the mountains, with a cell signal.

The Zeiss 25mm f/2 Distagon is a great all-arounder for landscape shooting, and it makes a very pretty sunstar effect too. It is highly flare resistant, though one can generate some flare with suitable efforts.

Image shot in harsh mid-day high altitude daylight. The white rocks act to provide a natural fill light, so shooting these backlit trees works well, or at least provides opportunities; the lighting is very difficult to work with otherwise especially with the sun high overhead as the summer solstice approaches.

I’ll have examples and field usage guidance in Guide to Zeiss upon my return.
