Zeiss 21mm f/2.8 Distagon: Eroding Bristlecone Giant (Nikon D800E)
Published in Guide to Zeiss is an Zeiss 21mm f/2.8 Distagon aperture series from f/2.8 - f/16 aperture series with the usual retina grade images and generously sized crops.
Apertures f/8 and f/11 and f/16 were processed using sharpening mitigation for diffraction, as discussed in Mitigating Micro Contrast Losses from Diffraction Blur in Making Sharp Images. This is a very useful technique when one wants depth of field, but diffraction is otherwise uncooperative. And one that will be even more important if a future 56 megapixel or similar DSLR appears.
