This series looks for contrast (overall and micro contrast) but also for secondary longitudinal chromatic aberration, and any hints of focus shift.

Lens weaknesses pop out like a sore thumb with a subject and lighting like this, so I like shooting such a scene to establish baseline performance. The 85/1.4L IS is a strong performer, but it has one weakness.
