Fast and Reliable SDXC Camera Card Storage for Fujfilm GFX100S, Batteries/Charger, Tripod Mounting
re: The Camera Market is Down to Two 35mm Format Contestants: Sony A1 and Canon TBD
re: Sony A7R IV: Which High-Speed and High-Capacity SDXC Cards Are Best?
The Fujifilm GFX100S has dual SDXC card slots, regrettably not CFExpress, rather strange for a new high-end camera here in 2021.
My recommendation is for the Sony TOUGH SDXC cards. They are better built than any of my cards (Lexar, SanDisk, etc), and have been totally reliable. UPDATE Dec 2021: the OWC Atlas S Pro SDXC cards are top notch, and even a little faster than the Sony. See TESTED: 256GB OWC Atlas S Pro SDXC Card (plus comparison to Sony TOUGH SF-G).
UPDATE, 2023: I now use OWC Atlas Ultra and OWC Atlas Pro cards in all my cameras, exclusively.
I also recommend:
- At least one spare battery, but three total batteries if you shoot long days.
- The two-battery BC-W235 charger if you want those batteries charged up by morning and because Fujifilm does not supply an external charger.
- The metal base plate for tripod use (“Arca-Type Compatible Dovetail Protrusion”).

Starting out with the Fujifilm GFX100S, Fujifilm medium format?
In this order, what I would get: for landscape use 50/3.5, 30/3.5, 23/4, 80/1.7, 250/4.
They’re all terrific, change-up that order if your shooting style demands it. But you cannot go wrong starting with the Fujifilm GF 50mm f/3.5 as an all-arounder for everything.
Jost VA writes from Switzerland:
As a side note, I already got my GFX100S and couldn’t be happier with it. I had the GFX50S before, and then also the GFX100. Now it‘s just fantastic to be able to carry over 100MP into the mountains in such a small, powerful package, including the GF 3,5/50mm.
DIGLLOYD: seems like an awesomely powerful camera in a compact package.
