Leica SL3: Haptics

re: botched design
Firmware version 1.1.0.

This page captures discusses the physical characteristics of the Leica SL3 for the human hand — haptics. Haptics matter a lot. It’s often why a product succeeds or not, and maybe even whether someone lives or dies (think how a car is operated).

Haptics should not be confused with how pretty or tasteful a camera looks. Many people think the Leica SL3 or Hasselblad X2D are good-looking cameras—and they are. Aesthetic preferences have their place*, but substituting that illogic (preference) for a rational assessment of haptics is for dilettantes.

IMO, haptics of the Leica SL3 are the worst in the industry, at least among 35mm and APS-C cameras.
