Fujifilm GF 20-35mm f/4 R WR

MTF for Fujifilm GF 20-35mm f/4 R WR

Like most brands, Fujifilm does a lame job at publishing MTF charts—wide open only, and no description of the spectral balance for the claimed performance, and it looks to be diffraction-ignoring computed fantasy MTF to boot—not measured with a real lens. The fact that Fujifilm does not publish anything but wide open performance is disappointing, and even that is not explicitly stated.

Claimed MTF is outstanding wide open at f/4. How well real lenses deliver relative to this computed/claimed MTF remains to be seen. Wide sample variation is common with Fujifilm GF lenses.

Taking the claims at face value, the Fujifilm GF 20-35mm f/4 R WR should match or outperform the prime lenses in its range.
