MTF for Fujifilm GF 30mm f/5.6 TS

MTF as published is generally fantasy MTF, meaning that it is derived from a computer design—computer theoretically, not measured with a real lens on a real sensor.

But most misleading (and IMO fraudulent), the MTF charts do not take diffraction into account. Fujifilm has published a true fantasy MTF chart which the laws of physics do not allow—diffraction limits MTF at f/5.6 to somewhere in the 80-85% range, yet Fujifilm claims 99% or so at 40 lp/mm—marketing masturbation.

That being understood, the MTF appears to be world-class. But given Fujfilm’s dismal record on lens quality control, getting a lens that performs to specifications might be a many-sample journey.
