Aperture Series: Focus Breathing (Backlit Bristlecones)

The Fujifilm GF 80mm f/1.7 R WR exhibits a considerable amount of focus breathing (“breathing”), an undesirable trait for both videography and focus stacking. The change in magnification is quite signficant from medium range to distance. Probably the focal length is increasingly shortened for closer-range focusing.
