Hasselblad XCD 45mm f/4 P

MTF for Hasselblad XCD 45mm f/4 P

MTF (calculated*, not measured) is shown below at f/4 and f/8. Real lenses often fall short of calculated figures.

Performance is srong wide open at f/4, but with indications of a moderately strong field curvature.

When f/5.6 is suitable (precise focus and adequate depth of field), it will thus be a superior choice versus f/8. That is, assuming focus shift is not involved, as it does not appear to be.

Hasselblad does not provide close-range MTF for the 45/4P.

* Calculated MTF curves including diffraction. Not measured from real lenses. sagittal slit orientation drawn with continuous line and tangential with dashed. White light. Spatial frequencies 10, 20 and 40 lp/mm.
