Vignetting for Leica 100mm f/2 Summicron-S ASPH
Vignetting is shown for both infinity focus and close-range focus (toggle to compare).
At infinity focus, vignetting is about two stops to the extreme corner. Stopping downt to f/2.8 cuts that to one stop, and by f/5.6 the effect is negligible.
At close-range focus, the image circle is larger and thus illumination over the frame is more uniform with wide open vignetting about half that seen at infinity focus—slightly more than one stop. By f/5.6 the effect is negligible.
