100 Megapixel Medium Format: Perspectives from Field Use of the Hasselblad H6D-100C (April 2019)
In late fall 2018, I had a chance to shoot the 100-megapixel Hasselblad H6D-100C in the field, using it in winter conditions and lugging it at high altitude. I had requested it for review, because I was increasingly curious about what might be possible at 100 megapixels, particularly in a best case large sensor implementation. My thanks to Hasselblad for making the H6D-100C available.
This article discusses my take-aways from shooting the H6D-100, from the perspective of the end results and imaging capabilities. However, this is not a camera review, but more of a calibration exercise for what is possible in a camera of this class versus existing 50MP cameras, and cameras like the Fujifilm GFX-100 due out in mid 2019 (100 megapixels on a smaller 44 X 33mm sensor).
