Hasselblad X2D 100C

Experience Report: Hasselblad X2D (Dec 2022)

The Hasselblad X2D debuted in autumn 2022, sporting a 100MP sensor along with IBIS and three new f/2.5 lenses. I shot with the X2D for about 6 weeks in the mountains of Colorado and California, as well as photographing artwork and some portraiture too. Using the XCD 38/2.5, 55/2.5 and 21/4.

To my eyes, the X2D stands out as having the most pleasing image quality of any camera on the market today. Working with raw files in Adobe Camera Raw takes little to no effort for gorgeous results, and naturalness of rendition. I’m not a JPEG shooter, but the same can be said of the JPEGs (I shot RAW+JPEG).
