Presented in ProPhotoRGB color space for the full gamut, this pairing shows the substantially different results that accrue using Adobe Camera Raw, depending on the choice of Camera Profile.

Neither result is true to the original; the AdobeStd result has flat orangey reds on the red doll’s robe, and the Embedded profile produces too-hot and saturated reds. Something in-between would be about right, but your author prefers the Embedded results for the more appealing overall color saturation; the AdobeStd profile looks quite flat, and the orange-red rendition of the doll’s robe is very wrong.
