Nikon 35mm f/1.4 AI-S
I have yet to explore the sharpness of this lens (thus the “N/A” overall rating). If it performs like many of the other wide-angle Nikon primes, then it will disappoint. As a good sample of this lens is not inexpensive, funds are best used on one of Nikon’s modern zooms, such as the 18-200 VR.

Moderate hot spots likely to be masked by most subject matter. The strong backfocus precludes any kind of fast shooting at wider apertures, a pity given it’s fast f/1.4 speed.

Backfocus is very strong and focus adjustment is mandatory.
