MTF for Hasselblad XCD 45mm f/3.5
MTF is shown below at f/3.5 and f/8.
In summary, performance is good overall at f/3.5, but is much improved by f/5.6 (as per field shots). Wide open, the 45/3.5 is not in the same class as its 30/3.5 sibling, the 30/3.5 offering much strong efforts on.wide open sharpness and color correction.
Wide open at f/3.5, central sharpness is very good, but field shots show that results perk up considerably by f/5.6 and that the MTF as shown is overly hopeful for the actual sharpness impression.
At f/5.6 (MTF not shown / not available), performance rises considerably, as shown in the several field-shot aperture series. In practical terms, the 45/3.5 should be shot at f/4 to perk things up a bit, and ideally at f/5.6.
